Officer Pleads Not Guilty To Drug Theft Charges

Michael C. Koch, 44, the Carlsbad police detective who was arrested for allegedly stealing drugs from the police station impound room, has pleaded not guilty to those charges, according to a story in the U-T San Diego.

Currently on paid administrative leave from the department, Koch was allowed to remain out of custody on his own recognizance by Vista Superior Court Judge Marshall Hockett.

Koch’s preliminary hearing is set for May 9, 2012.
