Carlsbad Police Doing PR For The City

by The Editors on October 5, 2015

The City of Carlsbad, California is reportedly looking forward to defending the actions of their officers in this “arrest” made July 31, 2013, according to a statement:

“The city of Carlsbad looks forward to bringing this lawsuit before the proper judicial authorities as soon as possible. We are prepared to provide a complete and detailed account of the facts of this incident in a courtroom, not in the media.”

The woman, Cindy Hahn of Valencia, California, was reportedly pulled over on a “seatbelt violation” after she called the Carlsbad Police department non-emergency line to report an officer who “appeared mentally unstable” during a previous interaction.

Hahn, who was arrested for “Felony Resisting Arrest” and “Felony Battery on a Peace Officer with Injury” hired high profile attorney Mark Geragos, and has filed a federal lawsuit against the City of Carlsbad, California. To read the entire complaint (and you really should), click here.

As might be imagined the suit is bringing Carlsbad media attention from around the world, for all the wrong reasons.
