Ice Cream Seller Arrested In Carlsbad

by The Editors on October 30, 2008

There are the stories we most hate to see for all kinds of reasons. The 38-year-old male driver of a white Dodge Van with “Luis Ice Cream” printed on the side was arrested on Wednesday near College and Tamarack Avenue on suspicion of committing lewd acts with a 14-year-old boy, according to a story in the San Diego Union-Tribune.

A resident told officers he thought the van was suspicious because it was parked in the same place for two days, Cain said. The resident watched it, then videotaped an incident that happened between the boy and the vendor and handed the tape over to police.

Apparently, the man appeared to be trading ice cream for lewd acts. Police are looking for anyone with more information involved this ice cream vendor. Call them at (760) 931-2197.
