by The Editors on November 3, 2008

Zab49D5F919E534Ba882574F6005A47DeFrank Holder, 61, a retired Pamona, California police sergeant who was known as “The Grandpa Bandit” was arrested Wednesday after a bank robbery in Rancho Cucamonga, according to a story in the North County Times.

Earlier this year, FBI officials in San Diego blamed the Grandpa Bandit for four North County robberies since 2007: two in Escondido, one in Carlsbad and one committed in San Marcos during the 2007 wildfires.

It’s always sad when cops go bad.

I guess his pension was not enough. In jail, at least he will not be spending money on rent or food.
