Skateboarders Arrested In La Costa Burglary

by The Editors on September 29, 2010

David Anthony Bonanza, 20, and a 15-year-old male were arrested yesterday (September 28, 2010) “on suspicion of burglarizing homes La Costa,” according to a story in the North County Times.

Police responded at 1:48 p.m. to a report of a burglary in the 2100 block of Corte Moral, Lt. Paul Mendes said. A housekeeper reported startling two suspects who had cut a screen door at the back of the house and were attempting to get inside. . . Both suspects were described as white and both had been carrying skateboards, Mendes said. . . The suspects jumped over a back fence and fled, but police set up a perimeter and found two people matching their descriptions walking down a culvert towards El Camino Real, Mendes said.

Wonder if they’re the same guys who hit the Cohen’s La Costa home last week. As we’ve mentioned to friends lately, in economic times like this even criminals have to work overtime.

I wonder if they had been wearing baseball caps if the article would have read “Baseball players arrested in La Costa Burglary”?
