{"id":10900,"date":"2012-07-06T14:04:16","date_gmt":"2012-07-06T21:04:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.carlsbadistan.com\/?p=10900"},"modified":"2012-07-06T14:04:22","modified_gmt":"2012-07-06T21:04:22","slug":"waste-managements-change-of-cart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.carlsbadistan.com\/?p=10900","title":{"rendered":"Waste Managements Change Of Cart"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.carlsbadistan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/New_trash_carts-c.jpg\" onclick=\"window.open('http:\/\/www.carlsbadistan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/New_trash_carts-c.jpg','popup','width=248,height=165,scrollbars=no,resizable=yes,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=yes,left=0,top=0');return false\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.carlsbadistan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/New_trash_carts-c-tm.jpg\" height=\"133\" width=\"200\" border=\"1\" align=\"right\" hspace=\"4\" vspace=\"4\" alt=\"New Trash Carts-C\" \/><\/a>On Monday, July 9, 2012 <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/northcounty.wm.com\/carlsbad\/carlsbad.asp\" target=\"_blank\">Waste Management<\/a><\/strong> (the friendly people who pick up our trash) will be rolling out cart exchanges for people who would like to swap out their new cart for a cart of a different size. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cOur entire team has been focused on the successful rollout of the new cart program, and we are excited to see residents already enjoying this enhanced service,\u201d said <strong>Lori Somers<\/strong>, community and municipal relations representative for Waste Management.  \u201cWe understand that after receiving the carts, some residents realized that they would prefer a different size, and we are working hard to get those carts exchanged as quickly as possible.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If you&#8217;re one of the people who would like a different sized cart simply &#8220;emailing <strong><a href=\"mailto:carlsbadcarts@wm.com\" target=\"_blank\">carlsbadcarts@wm.com<\/a><\/strong> or calling <strong>866-WM-RECYCLE<\/strong> with name, address, and the cart size and type they wish to have exchanged.&#8221; For all the official details follow the jump.<!--more-->CART EXCHANGES TO BEGIN JULY 9<\/p>\n<p>CARLSBAD \u2013 July 2, 2012- Carlsbad residents who want more or different sized trash carts may contact Waste Management to arrange an exchange by emailing carlsbadcarts@wm.com or calling 866-WM-RECYCLE with name, address, and the cart size and type they wish to have exchanged.<\/p>\n<p>Waste Management will begin making exchanges the week of July 9.  Exchanges will take place on customers\u2019 regular trash days.  The cart exchanges will follow the same schedule as the initial roll out, with those neighborhoods who received their carts during the first week of June being the first to have their carts exchanged, and so on.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the month of June, Waste Management delivered more than 100,000 trash carts to 30,000 Carlsbad households.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur entire team has been focused on the successful rollout of the new cart program, and we are excited to see residents already enjoying this enhanced service,\u201d said Lori Somers, community and municipal relations representative for Waste Management.  \u201cWe understand that after receiving the carts, some residents realized that they would prefer a different size, and we are working hard to get those carts exchanged as quickly as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>More than 12,000 residents returned cart order forms indicating the number and size of the carts they wanted.  Residents who did not return an order form received one each of the 95 gallon trash, recycling and green waste carts.
