The Carlsbad High School Lancer Dancers<\/strong> returned from the 2015 Universal Dance Association\u2019s (UDA) National Championships<\/a><\/strong> with 4th place in Jazz and 5th place in hip-hop out of more than 100 team competing January 31 – February 1, 2015. This was the third consecutive year that the Lancer Dancers placed among the top five teams in the nation in both Hip Hop and Jazz.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are so proud of the results our girls achieved at Nationals,\u201d said Lancer Dancers Booster Club President, Michelle Ginn<\/strong>. \u201cThe countless hours of practice and preparation leading up to Nationals paid off, as the team finished in the top five in both Hip Hop and Jazz categories. It\u2019s quite an achievement to consistently finish at or near the top, as the levels of talent and competition get tougher each year. The team has a long tradition of success. The Lancer Dancers have earned 14 National Titles in jazz and hip-hop.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

CARLSBAD, CA \u2014 At the recent 2015 Universal Dance Association\u2019s (UDA) National Championships, the most prestigious competition in the nation for high school dance squads, Carlsbad High School\u2019s Lancer Dancers once again demonstrated why they\u2019re among best varsity dance teams in the nation. The Lancer squad captured 4th place honors in the jazz category and 5th place in hip-hop out of more than 100 teams competing in the weekend competition, January 31 \u2013 February 1st in Orlando, Florida.<\/p>\n

This was the third consecutive year that the Lancer Dancers placed among the top five teams in the nation in both Hip Hop and Jazz. The squad\u2019s performances can be viewed online at www.uda.varsity.com By making the finals, the Lancer Dancers\u2019 performances will also be aired on ESPN TV, reaching millions of viewers and giving the team a great opportunity to share their school pride and serve as student ambassadors of the Carlsbad community. <\/p>\n
