The Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad\u2019s 35th Annual Black and White Masquerade Gala<\/strong> brought 500 guests to Carlsbad’s Omni La Costa Resort on September 24, 2016 for a terrific time and to help raise money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so proud of the fun, memorable evening we created,\u201d said Chair Barbi Nelson<\/strong>. Co-Chair Viola Wheelihan<\/strong> added, \u201cThanks to the talented members of the event committee, we were able to exceed our fundraising goals!\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

THE KIDS ARE THE REAL WINNERS!<\/p>\n

(Carlsbad, CA \u2013 October 7, 2016) The martinis were chilled, the mood was celebratory, and a terrific time was had by the 500 guests who attended Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad\u2019s 35th Annual Black and White Masquerade Gala held September 24 at Omni La Costa Resort.<\/p>\n

The dynamic Bonnie Foster Productions provided sensational sounds that kept the dance floor packed all night. Additional touches included a dance performance by Junior Jazzercise, a candy bar, a photo booth complete with dress-up props, and even a stilt walker! The event was emceed by Kimberly Hunt and her husband, Billy Ray Smith, and honored Club supporters Maribeth and Mike Maher.<\/p>\n

The Club\u2019s sound fiscal management practices and commitment to accountability and transparency have earned them a four-star rating from Charity Navigator, America\u2019s largest independent charity evaluator. This is the fourth consecutive time that Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad has earned this top distinction.<\/p>\n

Proceeds from the event go directly towards operating funds for Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad, which has played an integral role in the Carlsbad community since 1952.
