On Saturday June 3, 2017, Carlsbad’s Museum of Making Music<\/strong> is inviting you to join Alaskan Fiddling Poet Ken Waldman<\/strong>, Professor Bill Bradbury<\/strong>, and special guests (who may even be you!) on a musical journey to Moose Pass, Alaska and back. Ken’s combination of traditional Appalachian-style string-band music, poetry and storytelling has led observers to compare him to both Mr. Fred Rogers<\/strong> and Garrison Keillor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n A former college professor, Ken Waldman has had published six full-length poetry collections, a memoir, a children’s book, and has released nine CDs that mix old-time Appalachian-style string-band music with original poetry. Since 1995, he has toured full-time, performing at some of the nation\u2019s leading universities, festivals, and art centers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n This all-ages show is full of fun, music, inspiration, and interactive surprises.
