{"id":1348,"date":"2007-10-13T10:44:28","date_gmt":"2007-10-13T17:44:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.carlsbadistan.com\/?p=1348"},"modified":"2007-10-13T10:44:35","modified_gmt":"2007-10-13T17:44:35","slug":"new-legoland-attraction-smells-fishy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.carlsbadistan.com\/?p=1348","title":{"rendered":"New Legoland Attraction Smells Fishy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The owner of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.legoland.com\/California.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Legoland<\/a><\/strong> would like to create a separate attraction at the park centered around an aquarium the size of the &#8220;the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/aquarium.ucsd.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Birch Aquarium<\/a><\/strong> in La Jolla,&#8221; according to plans filed with the city of Carlsbad.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The aquarium will be called the <strong>Sea Life Center<\/strong> and will be a separate attraction &#8211; with its own admission price &#8211; from the rest of the 128-acre Legoland amusement park. . . . Building plans for the aquarium indicate it is intended to be a two-story structure.
