Have you been on a tour of the Carlsbad Aquafarm<\/strong><\/a> in the Carlsbad Lagoon? If not, you should. They even have parking right off the side of Carlsbad Blvd. Here’s a little more about the shucking place from San Diego Magazine<\/strong><\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n The aquafarm\u2019s five acres yield about 2 million pounds of oysters and mussels per year. \u201cIf this were a grassland and we were raising cattle, we\u2019d only have enough food to raise half a cow here,\u201d says Matt Steinke<\/strong>, the farm\u2019s general manager. (That\u2019s about 180 pounds of beef.)
