Cannon Art Gallery<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>On the gallery floor are sculptures like \u201cEmit\u201d (1984) and \u201cConvert B\u201d (1984) that evoke missile heads or bombs. Capps&#8217; four \u201cEquator\u201d works (1996-2007), are inspired by celestial bodies; each resembles a fragment of a planet with a broad ring like Saturn&#8217;s and there is one of them in each corner of the room. Some floor works, like \u201cAxis 4\u201d (1984) \u2013 a ribbed semi-spherical contour \u2013 are solid forms, while others such as \u201cPurge A\u201d (1988) are hollow and you can peer within.
