That said, apparently:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The <strong>Carlsbad Lightning BU-8 Red<\/strong> team, led by coach <strong>Bob Barbosa<\/strong>, prevailed over a tough <strong>Del Mar Sharks<\/strong> team, 4-1, to grab their first championship of the season at the <strong>Carlsbad Cup<\/strong>. . . .Multiple goals were scored in the tournament by <strong>Christian Kampfl<\/strong>, <strong>Ryan Anderson<\/strong>, <strong>Cole Miller<\/strong>, <strong>Jet Trask<\/strong> and <strong>Ryan Ashby<\/strong>. Outstanding defensive play was provided by <strong>Bennet Chergosky<\/strong>, <strong>Juan Ibanez<\/strong> and <strong>Ethan Cohen<\/strong>. Star goalies included <strong>Cooper Ward<\/strong> and <strong>Logan Schmitt<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This of course follows the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/soccer.xksandiego.com\/news.php?viewStory=579\" target=\"_blank\">Carlsbad Lightning GU-12 Black Championship win<\/a><\/strong> on Monday. Two questions: how many &#8220;championships&#8221; are there in a season?
