{"id":2989,"date":"2008-07-26T16:00:28","date_gmt":"2008-07-26T23:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.carlsbadistan.com\/?p=2989"},"modified":"2008-07-26T16:02:37","modified_gmt":"2008-07-26T23:02:37","slug":"premium-robbery-at-outlet-mall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.carlsbadistan.com\/?p=2989","title":{"rendered":"Premium Robbery At Outlet Mall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The driver of a limo-van who had just dropped people off at <strong>Legoland<\/strong> and the <strong>Carlsbad Premium Outlet Mall <\/strong>Friday night July 25, 2008 was bound and robbed at gun-point by a black man 20-30 years old, medium build 5 feet 8 inches tall, according to a story in the <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/weblog.signonsandiego.com\/news\/breaking\/2008\/07\/limo_driver_bound_robbed_in_ca.html\" target=\"_blank\">San Diego Union-Tribune<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The driver had dropped other customers from Los Angeles at LegoLand before going to the outlet mall. As he waited, a man walked up to him, pointed a pistol at him and ordered him into the back of the van, Sgt <strong>Keith Blackburn<\/strong> said. . . . The gunman bound the victim&#8217;s ankles and wrists with plastic zip-ties. He took the victim&#8217;s bank teller machine card, ordered him to reveal his secret code, and drove him to several banks over the next hour.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The limo driver was dropped back off at the outlet mall where a passerby was able to free him from his Zip ties. No one was hurt and it wasn&#8217;t clear how much money the robber got. That sort of thing is not supposed to happen here.
