Don’t know what it was about the Carlsbadistan<\/em><\/strong> Street Faire<\/strong>, but today we actually had fun. The streets were packed, the sun was out, then it rained to cool things off a little, and then the sun came back out again.<\/p>\n

Sure, many of the booths were stacked full of junk we wouldn’t even haul to the Goodwill, but it was so good seeing the streets filled with smiling faces that not even a fire-and-brimstone street preacher could bring us down.<\/p>\n

We didn’t count, but it looked a lot like the biggest and best Street Faire ever. Follow the jump for all the photos.<\/p>\n

\nThose who got up early were treated to Pancakes served up by the Boy Scouts.<\/p>\n

\nThe Beehive<\/a><\/strong> Hair Thieves: Erin<\/strong>, Vanessa<\/strong>, Leilla<\/strong>, and Marissa<\/strong> will rip it out, no doubt.<\/p>\n

\nSculptress Lynn Forbes<\/strong> sculpting the sculpted while Dave Miles<\/strong> thinks of Rodin.<\/p>\n

\nEven State Street was packed with people.<\/p>\n

\nScott<\/strong> brought his dog Gunner<\/strong> up from Cardiff to cruise the streets and hang out in the shade.<\/p>\n

\nNo one goes hungry at Street Faire. In fact, most really pack it in all day long.<\/p>\n

\nThirsty? Kristin<\/strong>, Camille<\/strong>, Kelsey<\/strong>, and Sarah<\/strong> from the Carlsbad High School Excalibur Dancers had water for only $1 a bottle.<\/p>\n

\nThe kids at Street Faire were climbing the walls.<\/p>\n

\nAbigail, Jordyn, Damien, Ashton, and Anastacia at the fountain.<\/p>\n

\nThe Langen Brothers Band<\/a><\/strong> have been playing together for 40 years and today they played the Carlsbad Rotary Beer Garden.<\/p>\n

\nCarlsbad Finest: Officers P. Cable<\/strong> and R. Galanos<\/strong> keeping watch over the Rotary beer garden from outside the fence. But they had no trouble today. . .none from us at least.<\/p>\n
