{"id":486,"date":"2007-07-05T14:32:57","date_gmt":"2007-07-05T21:32:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.carlsbadistan.com\/?p=486"},"modified":"2007-07-05T14:33:04","modified_gmt":"2007-07-05T21:33:04","slug":"carlsbad-tire-wholesaler-not-in-recall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.carlsbadistan.com\/?p=486","title":{"rendered":"Carlsbad Tire Wholesaler Not In Recall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On June 26, 2007 we linked to a story on a Chinese automobile <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.carlsbadistan.com\/?p=313\" target=\"_blank\">tire recall<\/a><\/strong> that listed <strong>K&#38;D Tire Wholesalers LLC<\/strong>, of Carlsbad as one of seven tire distributors involved with potentially dangerous tires being sold by Union, New Jersey-based <strong>Foreign Tire Sales Inc.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now, according to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.moderntiredealer.com\/t_inside.cfm?action=news_det&amp;storyID=7629\" target=\"_blank\">ModernTireDealer.com<\/a><\/strong> we find that K&#38;D was not involved and has not sold any of the Chinese tires.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>K&#38;D Tire Wholesalers has not sold any of the Chinese-made light truck tires currently under scrutiny, says company CEO <strong>Dan Marsh<\/strong>. . . Marsh told moderntiredealer.com that his company &#8220;never purchased any of the tires involved.
