Academy director <strong>Richard Iorio<\/strong> will go before Carlsbad&#8217;s City Council to get permission.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>. . . the city&#8217;s Planning Department is recommending that the council approve the academy&#8217;s proposal because the academy&#8217;s students are adults and the graduates often take jobs with some of the big golf manufacturing companies. . .<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The academy could help pay for <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecrossingsatcarlsbad.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Crossings-at-Carlsbad<\/a><\/strong>.
