{"id":8291,"date":"2010-06-21T08:18:56","date_gmt":"2010-06-21T15:18:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.carlsbadistan.com\/?p=8291"},"modified":"2010-06-21T10:07:05","modified_gmt":"2010-06-21T17:07:05","slug":"aviara-resort-is-now-park-hyatt-aviara","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.carlsbadistan.com\/?p=8291","title":{"rendered":"Aviara Resort Is Now Park Hyatt Aviara"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.carlsbadistan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/aviara-pool.jpg\" onclick=\"window.open('http:\/\/www.carlsbadistan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/aviara-pool.jpg','popup','width=616,height=352,scrollbars=no,resizable=yes,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=yes,left=0,top=0');return false\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.carlsbadistan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/aviara-pool-tm.jpg\" height=\"114\" width=\"200\" border=\"1\" align=\"right\" hspace=\"4\" vspace=\"4\" alt=\"Aviara-Pool\" \/><\/a>After more than a year of disputing between resort owner <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.broadreachcp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Broadreach Capital<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fourseasons.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Four Seasons Resorts<\/a><\/strong> (something we called the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.carlsbadistan.com\/index.php?s=battle+aviara\" target=\"_blank\">Battle of Aviara<\/a><\/strong>) <em>Carlsbadistan&#8217;s<\/em> <strong>Aviara Resort<\/strong> officially became the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/parkaviara.hyatt.com\/hyatt\/hotels\/index.jsp?src=agn_smg_hhc_ppc_google_ss_propertyspecific_sanpa_hyattcarlsbad&amp;k_clickid=60e3aba0-b3e5-4809-f28a-000024a97073\" target=\"_blank\">Park Hyatt Aviara Resort<\/a><\/strong> yesterday, according to a story in the <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.signonsandiego.com\/news\/2010\/jun\/20\/four-seasons-now-park-hyatt-aviara\/\" target=\"_blank\">San Diego Union-Tribune<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Hyatt Hotels Corp. representatives insist that guests at the 329-room resort will notice no difference after the Aviara becomes a Park Hyatt, which is the Hyatt chain\u2019s upscale, contemporary brand. All signage will be changed during the first two days of the changeover, they said. . . \u201cWe are thrilled to be managing one of California\u2019s most beautiful resorts,\u201d <strong>Chuck Floyd<\/strong>, Hyatt\u2019s chief operating officer for North America, said in a news release. \u201cPark Hyatt Aviara Resort will be a wonderful addition to our luxury Park Hyatt portfolio and Hyatt Resort properties worldwide.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It will take a while to get things straightened out. A Google search for &#8220;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?client=safari&amp;rls=en&amp;q=Aviara+Resort&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;oe=UTF-8\" target=\"_blank\">Aviara Resort<\/a><\/strong>&#8221; still returns a list of links to the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fourseasons.com\/aviara\/message0610\/\" target=\"_blank\">Four Season&#8217;s webpage<\/a><\/strong> which &#8220;regrets to inform you that the resort is no longer managed by Four Season Resorts and Hotels&#8221; but does not offer a link to the new site. It does, however, offer links to other Four Season&#8217;s properties.
