Poets from around San Diego County submitted poems for the anthology and more than 60 poems have been selected. The anthology will be available for purchase for $5. Following the reading, attendees are invited to a reception in the Library\u2019s Gowland Meeting Room. Admission to the reading and reception is free.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>We&#8217;re not big poetry fans, but it could be fun anyway. Click the jump for all the details.<!--more-->Carlsbad City Library Celebrates Release of 22nd Annual<br \/>\nMagee Park Poets Poetry Anthology<br \/>\nDecember 8 at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, December 8 at 7 p.m., the community is invited to join the celebration for the release of the Library\u2019s 22nd Annual Magee Park Poets Poetry Anthology. The free poetry reading will take place at Carlsbad City Library\u2019s Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium, 1775 Dove Lane in southern Carlsbad. For more information, call 760-602-2012.<\/p>\n<p>The library will host an open reading by poets whose poems are featured in this year\u2019s anthology. Poets from around San Diego County submitted poems for the anthology and more than 60 poems have been selected. The anthology will be available for purchase for $5. Following the reading, attendees are invited to a reception in the Library\u2019s Gowland Meeting Room. Admission to the reading and reception is free.<\/p>\n<p>The anthology is published each December with the support of the Friends of the Carlsbad Library. After December 8, copies of the anthology are available for sale for $5 at Carlsbad City Library locations.<\/p>\n<p>The Magee Park Poets group at Carlsbad City Library offers five free poetry writing workshops each year, and five poetry readings, including the annual poetry anthology publication celebration.
