Italian violin wizard Luca Ciarla<\/strong> owns the stage with his fiddle and a few toy instruments. And he’ll be performing this Friday (June 3, 2016) at Carlsbad’s own Museum of Making Music<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Using a looper, he performs all the parts live using the violin to play guitar, cello and percussion parts. In this imaginative landscape Luca sings, whistles, and plays while the music evolves into a dazzling solo string band! The program includes unusual arrangements of Italian folk tunes, music from the Mediterranean and original compositions. . .\u00a0A native of Termoli, Italy, Luca received his degree in violin performance in 1993 and received his Master\u2019s at Indiana University while studying jazz with David Baker. He completed a doctorate in musical arts at the University of Arizona.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n The concert begins at 7:00\u00a0PM and tickets are $20 for premium and $15 for general seating.
