Apparently the pilot. . .<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>. . . crossed the runway threshold 15 knots fast and landed close to the middle of Runway 24, according to a preliminary NTSB interview with the pilot.<\/p>\n<p>Once the pilot realized he couldn&#8217;t stop the aircraft on the remaining runway, he intentionally ground looped the aircraft to stop it before it ran off the west end and down a steep ravine. . . .
