According to a story in the <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nctimes.com\/articles\/2008\/12\/31\/news\/sandiego\/z0f0cc630bda0dacf88257523005cf496.txt\" target=\"_blank\">North County Times<\/a><\/em><\/strong><strong> Detective Patricia Parra<\/strong> (<strong><em>not<\/em><\/strong> pictured right) is looking into &#8220;eight reports of home and car repair scams from elderly victims since October.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Parra, who specializes in fraud and crimes against the elderly, became aware of scams associated with ethnic Gypsies several years ago and says she has been expanding her expertise ever since, . . . She is quick to say that individuals should not stereotype or hold prejudices. . . .
