Why would we when we live in the best climate in the world. Well, on days like today we all wish we could escape to somewhere cool and the City of Carlsbad has just the places.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cCarlsbad is committed to providing residents relief from the heat during the hottest daytime hours,\u201d said the city\u2019s Emergency Preparedness Coordinator <strong>David Harrison<\/strong>. \u201cThe city\u2019s Cool Zones help keep residents safe by providing an environment in which to avoid heat-related injuries and stress.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Here are a couple places set up as official Carlsbad Cool Zones<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Carlsbad City Library, 1775 Dove Lane: 760-602-2049<br \/>\nMonday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.<br \/>\nFriday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.<br \/>\nSunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Carlsbad Senior Center, 799 Pine Ave.: 760-602-4650<br \/>\nMonday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.<br \/>\nFriday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If this hot hot heat keeps up, we&#8217;re so there. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The City of Carlsbadistan realizes that many of us do not have air-conditioning.
