\nBy 4 PM the Garfield Roll was beginning to fill in. Makes us kind of wish they’d just close Garfield and turn it into one big block party.<\/p>\n

\nAt the Carlsbad Inn there was music on the lawn, a warm pool, and crowds. They even had security on the bridge.<\/p>\n

\nMeanwhile, at the Boar’s Cross’n’s<\/a><\/strong> Freedom Fest<\/strong> BMXer were jumping for the smallish crowd, but we’re sure there will be a few more people for the bikini contest and the bands. . .<\/p>\n

\nThe Carlsbad Police Department had the Legoland<\/a><\/strong> Fireworks show on lockdown. The Sheraton Parking lot was full, the business park closed. We had to drive all the way out to Alton (past the No Fear) offices so we could see the the medium show at Legoland. Those who stayed on the beach in Carlsbadistan<\/em> probably had the best show of all with fireworks going off up and down the coast from 8:30 to well past 9 PM.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
