On Monday March 4, 2019 the City of Carlsbad will hold a public budget workshop to get input on the City’s 2020 budget and how and where they are going to spend money. If you’re interested in putting in your two cents this is the time to do it. For instance, if you’d like to see the city build a skateboard park that is closer to the village, this would be a great meeting to attend. Or if you think a mountain bike park would be nice, let them know.
The workshop will be help from 6 to 8 PM on March 4, 2019 at the City of Carlsbad Administration Center at 1635 Faraday Ave, Carlsbad, CA.
On March 9, 2019 join supporters of the Carlsbad Boys & Girls club as they help raise money for the organization with the 8th Annual Taste of Bressi event.
Serving some of San Diego’s finest ales, lagers, wines, and all sorts of spirits from 20 plus adult beverage vendors. In addition, an array of local restaurants will be in attendance passing out taste treats. Restaurants, breweries, wineries, and distilleries are being added daily – an up-to-date list of all the participants and can be found on the event website.

The Carlsbad Music Festival Presents Sonic Chapel with cellist Ashley Bathgate Friday, February 15, 2019.
The desire to create a dynamic energy exchange with her audience and build upon the ensuing chemistry is a pillar of Bathgates’s philosophy as a performer. Her affinity to dynamism drives Bathgate to venture into previously uncharted areas of ground-breaking sounds and techniques, breaking the mold of a cello’s traditionally perceived voice. Collaborators and fans alike describe her vitality as nothing short of remarkable and magical for all who are involved. Bathgate is a member of the award-winning, internationally acclaimed sextet Bang on a Can All-Stars, the chamber music group HOWL, and is also a founding member of TwoSense, a duo with pianist Lisa Moore, and Bonjour, a low-strung, percussive quintet.
