The Women Behind The 2016 Taste of Bressi

Sharone Story and Brisha Cordella (pictured above) found themselves faced with a challenge. As members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad’s board of directors, each were tasked to raise money to support the Club’s impactful youth programming. What they came up with was an event called The 2016 Taste of Bressi.

The 2016 Taste of Bressi will be held on March 19, 2016 from 2-6 pm at the Club’s Bressi Ranch location. “Holding the event at the Clubhouse gives the public a chance to see the facilities available to Carlsbad’s kids. Each guest receives a ‘Clubhouse Pass’ to explore, play games like foosball and ping pong, and enjoy live music while sipping on adult beverages, and nibbling delicious bites,” said Story. “It’s a fun, casual, light-hearted afternoon that everyone 21 and older can enjoy.”

TWO LOCAL WOMEN HELP YOUTH

(Carlsbad, CA – March 10, 2016) Sharone Story and Brisha Cordella found themselves faced with a challenge. As members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad’s board of directors, each were tasked to raise money to support the Club’s impactful youth programming.

“Both of us were enticed by the challenge of producing an entertaining fundraising event that would be affordable and attract the Carlsbad community at large” explains Sharone. “We landed on a beer, wine, and food festival, with live music. Last year it attracted nearly 500 people!” added Brisha.

And so a great idea was born. The 2016 Taste of Bressi will be held on March 19 from 2-6 pm at the Club’s Bressi Ranch location. “Holding the event at the Clubhouse gives the public a chance to see the facilities available to Carlsbad’s kids. Each guest receives a ‘Clubhouse Pass’ to explore, play games like foosball and ping pong, and enjoy live music while sipping on adult beverages, and nibbling delicious bites,” said Story. “It’s a fun, casual, light-hearted afternoon that everyone 21 and older can enjoy.”

A large selection of local vendors will be providing tastings of signature dishes, craft beers, and premium wines, while guests soak up the sounds of great tunes. The $48 Taste of Bressi Clubhouse Pass provides access to all food items and your choice of any 8 beer or wine tastings. In addition, a silent auction will be available with all sorts of great items including a sunset flight on a private plane, high quality speakers, and more!

“Our Title Sponsors, George and Meryl Young, are longtime Carlsbad residents. George is a Boys and Girls Clubs National Trustee, and serves on the Carlsbad Executive Committee and Board,” said Brisha. “All proceeds will benefit the Club; last year we raised over $20,000! Funded nearly 100% by local donors, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad has been enriching and inspiring the youth of the community for over 60 years.”

The event takes place at the Boys & Girls Club Bressi Ranch Clubhouse located at 2730 Bressi Ranch Way, Carlsbad, CA 92009. This Festival is exclusively for those 21+ years old.
