OAK + elixir Enters A New Relm

by The Editors on May 9, 2017

If you’ve been by State St. in the heart of Carlsbad Village recently you may have noticed that Relm, the wine bar, has closed. Apparently, it was closed in order to reopen as OAK+elixir. Here’s what the owners are saying:

While we really enjoyed Relm during it’s time, we’re looking forward to a new season. But don’t worry, the wine bar is remaining! During the closure we’ve rejuvenated the space and reimagined the wine and food menus, and we can’t wait for you to experience the new O+E.

OAK + elixir will celebrate its grand opening on Friday June 2, 2017 at 6:30 PM. If you like wine, beer, and food (and from the looks of this town everyone does) then drop by and say hello. For the official word from OAK + elixir, please follow the jump.

But first, as we transition, we want to take a moment to share a bit of our background with you.

OAK+elixir’s story begins as a father introduced the world of restaurant culture to his family. Tim Rammel had a love for people, food and fun. He lived his life in community with family and friends. Years after his passing we have been given the opportunity to continue his legacy by starting our own wine and beer eatery. As Carlsbad locals, we are excited to create a relaxing ambiance where wine lovers at all levels are welcome to enjoy great wine. We are proud to offer wine primarily from California family estate small production wineries. Together it is our privilege to serve you and offer the best experience by pairing amazing wine with tasty food and a fabulous atmosphere. We invite you to come suspend time, prolong life and induce love with our elixir.

We can’t to see you Friday, June 2nd at 6:30pm, for our inaugural Grand Opening. Everyone is welcome!
