Judge Says No Area Code Change

by The Editors on September 17, 2008

Looks like those who spoke out at recent area code hearings were heard as California Public Utilities Commission Judge Maribeth Bushey has ruled to allow current 760 area code holders to keep their area code while new numbers will have the 442 area code, according to a story on 10news.com.

The full five-member commission is scheduled to vote on Bushey’s ruling on Oct. 16. . . . Bushey presided over public hearings on the proposed change earlier this month in Carlsbad and Victorville.

New numbers get the new area code. Hard to believe that something so logical would require so much legal action.
