Img300 BachelorLegoland California will be the star player in an upcoming episode of the shockingly demented and wrong ABC Television show The Bachelor as single dad Jason Mesnick brings one of his fluzzies (and her daughter) to Carlsbadistan for a day at the park.

This is the first time the family theme park in Carlsbad opened its gates privately to allow Mesnick, Stephanie and her daughter, Sophia, to enjoy the more than 50 rides, shows and attractions featured at LEGOLAND California. . . They were also treated to a secluded picnic in Pirate Shores and a special birthday party for Sophia in Miniland U.S.A., the heart of LEGOLAND California where nine cities are replicated out of more than 22 million LEGO® bricks.

Private day at Legoland? So maybe they didn’t close the park down to rebuild the aquarium after all? The show airs Monday January 19, 2009 on ABC TV. If you don’t mind polluting your brain, tune in. For the rest of the details, follow the jump.
“The Bachelor” treats one lucky bachelorette to a private date at LEGOLAND® California

CARLSBAD, Calif. (Jan. 13, 2009) – LEGOLAND® California proves to be the perfect place for single dad Jason Mesnick to take his date in an upcoming episode of “The Bachelor” airing January 19, 2009, on ABC.

This is the first time the family theme park in Carlsbad opened its gates privately to allow Mesnick, Stephanie and her daughter, Sophia, to enjoy the more than 50 rides, shows and attractions featured at LEGOLAND California. The three enjoyed riding Coastersaurus, Fun Town Fire Academy, Skipper School, Captain Cranky’s Challenge and Beetle Bounce in the Park’s newest area, Land of Adventure. They were also treated to a secluded picnic in Pirate Shores and a special birthday party for Sophia in Miniland U.S.A., the heart of LEGOLAND California where nine cities are replicated out of more than 22 million LEGO® bricks.

Millions of viewers watched DeAnna Pappas reject Jason Mesnick’s proposal, as he dropped to one knee to profess his love in the season finale of “The Bachelorette.” Brokenhearted and wondering how he could have misjudged DeAnna’s intentions, Jason’s female fans flocked to support him, helping him heal from his very public dismissal. Now this single dad is starring in his own bid for true love, choosing from among the remaining 12 bachelorettes.

“It’s an honor for LEGOLAND to be featured on ‘The Bachelor’,” said LEGOLAND California Resort Spokesperson Julie Estrada. “We pride ourselves in being the best family theme park for kids 2 – 12, and it was great to see all three of them have such a great time here.”

LEGOLAND is celebrating its 10th birthday this year and has doubled its amount of rides since opening in 1999. Land of Adventure is the newest area to open and features four new attractions, more than 75 new LEGO models created out of nearly half a million LEGO bricks and the Park’s first-ever indoor ride, Lost Kingdom Adventure. New attractions opening in 2009 include an exclusive movie, Bob the Builder™ In 4-D: Bob the Builder and the Roller Coaster which will begin airing in the LEGO Show Place Theatre in March. For the most current information, log onto www.LEGOLAND.com or call 760-918-LEGO.

The episode airs on ABC January 19, 2009. Please consult your local TV guide for channel and times in your area.
