Tamarack Parking Closure

by The Editors on November 27, 2009

We’re not sure exactly what this means yet, but the Tamarack parking lot being closed from November 30 to December 5, 2009 probably isn’t good.

Is this the end of free parking?

My money is on…”Yes”! The end of free parking at Tamarack! That was my first thought when I saw the sign on Thursday morning! SDG&E is putting in smart meters in our homes…CA State is taking away our parking lot…Obama is jacking with our Health Care! “Soylent Green is made of people!” There is no escaping “The Man”! Expatriation may be in order soon!

Of course, they are putting in an Iron Ranger to collect fees for parking. The City tried to avoid this as it has for many years by paying the State an extortion fee, but now the State won’t do it any more. I guess they figure they can make more money this way. How about boycotting it?

The lifeguards are saying it’s closed for repaving and repainting the lines. They also said fee parking starts mid-December. A boycott will only add more cars to our already crowded neighborhood street parking.

There is a reason this dumb state is bankrupt.. I’m from the east coast and growing up when we headed to the beach it cost us $5 to park for the day. It’s how the state pays for the cleanup and preservation of the beaches. You people want everything handed to you but don’t want to pay a damn thing. It’s not the end of the world… Stop buying a Mercedes when you have a $12/hour job and paying $5 to go the beach shouldn’t be a problem..
