Purse Snatched At Plaza Camino Real

by The Editors on December 16, 2009

As if Carlsbadistan’s Plaza Camino Real needed any more pejorative nicknames, last night (December 15, 2009) two women robbed a 24-year-old woman in the parking lot, according to story in the North County Times.

The 24-year-old victim had left Plaza Camino Real Mall on the northeast side about 9:30 p.m. when a late model Ford Mustang with silver rims approached her, Lt. Bruce May said. . . The passenger got out, asked the shopper for a cigarette, then grabbed her purse, May said. The victim ran after the robber and struggled with her for the purse through the open car door. . . As they fought, the driver moved the car, running over the victim’s foot, May said.

The robbers were described only as Latina woman and a white woman, both in their early 20s.
