Scouts Host 52nd Annual Easter Breakfast

110109  13Carlsbadistan Boy Scout Troop 748 will serve a pancake breakfast to the community on Easter morning (April 4, 2010) at the Carlsbad Senior Center at 799 Pine Street from 7:30 AM until Noon as part of their 52nd Annual Pancake Breakfast.

The delicious all-you-can-eat breakfast consists of pancakes, eggs, fresh fruit and coffee. Breakfast patrons can look forward to sitting indoors at beautifully decorated tables and having fully-uniformed Scouts “wait” on them. The nearly 40 Boy Scouts now in Troop 748 will use the proceeds for activities to advance rank towards the ultimate goal of Eagle Scout.

CARLSBAD BOY SCOUT TROOP 748 TO SERVE 52nd ANNUAL EASTER PANCAKE BREAKFAST

CARLSBAD, CA – March 19, 2010 – Carlsbad Boy Scout Troop 748 will serve breakfast to the community at its 52nd Annual Pancake Breakfast on Easter morning, Sunday, April 4, 2010. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 am until noon at the Carlsbad Senior Center at 799 Pine Street, at the corner of Pine and Jefferson Streets in the Village. Tickets are $4 if purchased prior to the event and $5 at the door on Easter Sunday. Look for Scouts selling tickets at local markets.

Breakfast patrons can look forward to sitting indoors at beautifully decorated tables and having fully-uniformed Scouts “wait” on them. The nearly 40 Boy Scouts now in Troop 748 will use the proceeds for activities to advance rank towards the ultimate goal of Eagle Scout.

The troop goes on monthly campouts where the Scouts learn various life activities, ranging from first aid and wilderness safety to cooking and leadership skills. Some of the recent camping trips include a 15 mile kayak trip around Mission Bay, snow camping in Big Bear, and a 15-mile hike at Joshua Tree. This summer, the Scouts will spend a week at Camp Emerald Bay on Catalina Island.
