Carlsbad Inn Gets A Tune Up

373122-Looking-Good-The-Carlsbad-InnAfter getting a little long in the tooth (25 years to be exact) and getting some complaints from guests Carlbadistan’s Carlsbad Inn is getting some much needed improvements according to Winners Circle Resorts CEO Jim Watkins.

“We heard what our guests were saying behind our back. They love the Carlsbad Inn. It’s steps from the beautiful Pacific Ocean and the staff is warm, friendly and helpful. But perhaps we were getting a bit “tired.” So, after 25 years, we decided on a facelift.”

The top floor of the resort is now the “Premier Level” and will feature king and double queen rooms with marble walk-in showers, microwaves, flat screen TVs, WI-Fi and best of all plush robes. But they’re not going to let a little construction keep away the paying customers so they’re just going to build right around the guests.

Randy Chapin, General Manager of the property adds “During the renovation, everyone on-site is taking great care not to interrupt the guests and the phases are carefully sectioned such as to make the least impact on our guests and owners.”

Really, with the beach right across the street who is going to be spending time in their rooms during the day anyway, right?

Known for exuding charm and a delightfully convenient location on the beach in the quaint village of Carlsbad, California, the Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort is already well underway with an upgrade of 61 hotel rooms, two meeting rooms and grounds.

Jim Watkins, CEO of Winners Circle Resorts International, who developed the property 25 years ago said, “We heard what our guests were saying behind our back. They love the Carlsbad Inn. It’s steps from the beautiful Pacific Ocean and the staff is warm, friendly and helpful. But perhaps we were getting a bit “tired.” So, after 25 years, we decided on a facelift.”

The first major noticeable changes are coming in the sleeping rooms. The property has created a Premier Level on the top (third) floor. Each of the spacious rooms has either a King or 2 Queen Signature beds, a sitting area and is fully upgraded with luxury fixtures. The bathroom is remarkable with a marble walk-in shower and vanity. Guest rooms include plantation shutters, small refrigerator, microwave, coffee brewer, iHome, flat screen TV, DVD player and plush robes. Wi-Fi service and parking are included.

Even the more standard rooms, such as the Kitchenette Guest Room and Double Guest Room makes guests feel right at home with a signature King Bed, kitchenette, sitting area and workable desk. Guest rooms include plantation shutters, small refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee brewer, iHome, flat screen TV and DVD player. Wi-Fi service and free parking are included.

Watkins said, “We know our biggest draw is not manmade: It’s our prime location on the Pacific Ocean. So, we are particularly excited to let you know our lobby and library now are opened up for expansive, breathtaking views of the blue water.”

Randy Chapin, General Manager of the property adds “During the renovation, everyone on-site is taking great care not to interrupt the guests and the phases are carefully sectioned such as to make the least impact on our guests and owners.”

Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort, built in 1985, is a mixed-used property with vacation ownership condominiums, 61-key hotel, retail and restaurant. Privately owned, it is managed by Grand Pacific Resorts. For more information www.carlsbadinn.com
