Large 5.4 Earthquake Rattles Carlsbadistan

A 5.4 magnitude quake (downgraded from 5.9) hit Southern California’s desert at 4:53:33 PM 13 miles NNW of Borrego Springs, California according to the US Geological Survey.

The quake was felt from downtown LA through Orange County and even at the beach in Carlsbadistan. Some on Twitter said it was a roller that lasted for at least 20 seconds.

I can’t believe that the quake was downgraded! Everyone at work thought for sure it was worse then the Easter day quake and when we saw 5.9 we thought it would go up into the 6’s. Crazy!
