Man Crashes SUV Into Tamarack Jetty

by The Editors on September 16, 2010

A 37-year-old man who Carlsbad Police say “failed a field sobriety test” crashed his car into the jetty at end of the Tamarack Beach Parking lot on Wednesday night September 15, 2010, according to story on SignOnSanDiego.

The officers were on a call at 11:37 p.m. when a Ford Explorer came speeding into the parking lot at the end of Tamarack Avenue, said Carlsbad police Lt. Matt Magro. . . The SUV sped past them and headed toward the jetty at the south end of the lot without slowing, Magro said. It then hit the embankment and went up and over the rocks stopping just feet from the water.

Kind of hard to believe we missed getting a photo of this unnamed off-roader.
