Is This The Reckless Lexus Of Garfield St?

by The Editors on February 23, 2010

Reckless Lexus1

After some good old-fashioned social engineering, the victims of the February 4, 2010 Reckless Lexus hit and run on Garfield believe they have found the vehicle responsible for the collision. And they found it at a local Carlsbadistan body shop.

After notifying the Carlsbad Police Department and providing officers with the matching paint and several missing car parts, the police were finally convinced enough by the victim’s detective work that they have reportedly impounded the vehicle as evidence in their criminal investigation.

Another reminder of what is possible when people do a little work on their own.

Great work Victim !!! amazing that the driver didn’t stay at the scene to work the details of a accident out. I wonder why??????( Glug,Glug,Glug… oops.. sorry…. drinking a beverage….) They Probably didn’t feel up for any roadside calisthenics @ 3am..

Well Justice always seems to prevail in life (luckily with some legwork) I am sure the ” Karma wagon/SUV ” is headed straight for the rear of the assailant.
(Appropriately)

PAY BACK is a _ _ _ _ _ !! ( fill in the blank )

I am the victim. thank you everyone for the messages. I just found out this person is going to get away with the hit and run of my vehicle. she will be getting her car back, and me, nothing. looking for a lawyer who can help. I have little money, need a car for my work. have minor health problems. spending too much for cabs for my night job. my day job is being a caregiver to the elder, shopping, doctor appointment, etc. I have no transportation for this. It’s not fair, that this person can get away with this. the police have been working with me to try and keep this person off the street. I can’t understand, this person drives a Lexus and can get a lawyer, but NO INSURANCE!!!!!! I need to fight back. kinda shy, but I’m ready to fight back. Please, need a lawyer or great advise. thank you so, so much… 🙂

Wow brenda !! that is a BUMMER. Maybe due to your diligence of finding the person responsible and trying to seek justice, A good citizen will come to help. I am pretty sure a “hit and run” is serious and there are ramifications for doing so…. other than hitting a car and leaving the scene, not having insurance & to top it off driving a Lexus SUV. I am sure the assailant lives near the beach which is not cheap. Obviously the person at fault is protecting themselves from the impending doom. There are laws in america… WHY do we not make the people responsible for their actions? The license plate looks like a DMV special interest/personal plate – So the Lexus driver has enough money to pay “extra” for registration on the car- BUT they don’t have money for insurance ??
I bet that the person doesn’t have insurance because… maybe they were a CANCELLED POLICY due to DRUNK DRIVING infractions……?? Hitting a car @ 3 am and leaving the scene sounds suspect. Well, you don’t leave a accident unless you feel you have a reason to.
Any Attorney’s that feel they want to help BRENDA (who is just looking to have justice served) would be rewarded in society 2 fold later by helping one in need NOW !
ALSO contingency stance on a case like that could be worth the cause.
Justice needs to be served !!!
Anyone want to be a good Samaritan???
Please help justice to be served.

thanks Alfredo, it cheers me up to read what you have to say. I do have some business to do on Tues about her license. don’t want to go into details yet, officer is helping me out. but , definately need a lawyer, or some good advice on what to do. I was just “very” lucky I wasn’t heading to work that night, it happened about 2:10am, an I’m ususally heading out to my car, I actually got to have the evening off , which I was happy to have an extra night of sleep, yeah , right. ha ha… still hear that noise, an everytime a car goes speeding by, I wake up. I can tell they aren’t stopping at the stop sign, just “zooming” by. I was suprise no one was out at 2am, usually when I’m going to work, theirs people walking , coming back from the bars, etc. Just so happy no one got hurt, 🙂 again I want to thank you for you nice messages. You give me hope. an I’m still smiling 🙂 🙂 🙂

Brenda, if you are still having issues with this, and your damages are under $5,000 (or if you can settle for $5,000), try small claims court. They have people to help you fill out papers and they likely will not (if they are even able to) use a lawyer to fight for them. Sorry to hear that happened! Good Luck!
