On Sunday, August 8, 2010 the Carlsbad Village Association will host the 12th Annual Art in The Village from 9 AM until 5 PM. At worst it is a great time to walk the streets of Carlsbadistan without having to worry about traffic. . . and we enjoy that every time it happens. these used to be quite fun to attend until everyone decided that bringing their dog was some sort of stylish badge of cool. not . it is inconsiderate , detracts from and
otherwise destroys the ambiance of a once nice art walk . the whole , lets take our dog everywhere is completely out of control , and the city should ban the practice just as they did with the friday night concert in the parks . leave your dog at home ………..
for those of us who love our dogs just like others love their kids, we have every right to bring our dogs to city events. yes, we are responsible for our pets behaviors, just as those who have kids are responsible for them as well. I find when i take my dogs on “outings” i get a positive feed back and many “your dogs just brightened up my day” attitude. Ca is a very “dog oriented” place. I love seeing other dogs when i go out (as well as they are behaved). let’s face it—-for a great deal of people, pets are their children…So Get Over It!! to the person or people that don’t like dogs at outdoor-events.
So…Unless it hangs in the major corporate offices it isn’t “art”? Ouch.
I can see how the quality of this even could be a bit higher though.
