Carlsbadistan’s own trading card company Upper Deck turns 20 this year and to celebrate the company is producing a limited-edition card set featuring all the athletes (like Michael Jordan) who helped made Upper Deck famous.
Upper Deck was founded in 1988, but as every collector knows, the first set from the leader in sports trading cards debuted in 1989.
As Upper Deck prepares for the 20th anniversary of that historic set, a special collecting experience is being offered in the months leading up to the release of Upper Deck’s 2009 Series 1 Baseball. The company is producing a limited-edition, 80-card set featuring athletes from professional baseball, football, basketball and hockey that have helped make Upper Deck the collector’s choice over the last 20 years.
