If the city gets their way with cutting police wages, this stuff will no longer be ‘news’ in the village, it’ll be another Tuesday.

First of all I’m glad at least someone was caught in connection with this armed robbery.

Are you truly implying that the city of Carlsbad has the authority to silence the news because they want cut wages? If you are, you are mistaken. The police have many roles, but usually independent journalism isn’t part of their job description.

Reading and Comprehension is your friend, Shane. I’m not Nate, but I’m pretty sure he was saying that stop-and-robs like this will no longer be “newsworthy.” Instead, they’ll be so common (due to a decrease in the police force), that crimes like this will no longer merit even a mention in the news. Either that, or it’ll be a listing of all the places that got robbed this week.
