Tri-City’s 2014 Fashion That Heals

Tri City FundsCarlsbad’s Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa will be host to the Tri-City Hospital Foundation’s third annual Fashion That Heals luncheon on Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 10:30 AM to 2 PM.

“Fashion That Heals raised $350,000 for women’s health services in 2013, and we are excited to top that in 2014,” said Event Co-Chair Ellen Stotmeister.
“We are ensuring San Diego women have a resource to take the best possible care of their hearts and having a wonderful time along the way. This is truly a can’t-miss event for any local fashion lover or philanthropist,” commented Event Co-Chair Sandee Carter.

Tickets for the event are $100 each and include access to to all event activities and a champagne reception and luncheon. Tri-City Hospital Foundation to raise funds for women’s cardiac health services with fashion, beauty and an upscale champagne luncheon

OCEANSIDE, Calif. (Feb. 27, 2014) – Tri-City Hospital Foundation’s popular Fashion That Heals luncheon is set to return on Sat., May 17 from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa. Because heart disease is the number-one killer of women in the U.S., the third annual Fashion That Heals will benefit women’s heart health programs at Tri-City Medical Center.

On the schedule for this year’s event is a fashion show featuring Tri-City physicians, nurses and employees as well as community heroes like firefighters. There will also be a Health & Beauty Expo, a trunk show with top local vendors and both live and silent auctions with offerings including jewelry, vacations, wellness services and more. “Pick a Purse,” a brand new opportunity drawing, will tempt fashion lovers with the chance to choose a high-end designer handbag of their choice. As an added bonus, each purse will be filled with hundreds of dollars in luxurious prizes. “Pick a Purse” tickets will be $25 each or five for $100, and interested parties need not be present to win.

CBS News 8 anchor Carlo Cecchetto will be leading the festivities as Master of Ceremonies. Brooke Landau, a weather caster for San Diego 6 the CW News, is joining Cecchetto to take the stage as Fashion Commentator. Landau, a former couture runway model, has battled congenital heart disease since birth; making her a natural fit with all facets of Fashion That Heals.
