New offerings to nicely complement varied food selections

September 16, 2015, OCEANSIDE, CA – Cyclists will have plenty of food choices once they complete their rides in the sixth annual Bike the Coast – Taste the Coast presented by Tri-City Medical Center (www.bike-the-coast.com) on Saturday, October 10 in Oceanside. This unique cycling event, food festival and sports expo is expected to attract more than 2,000 riders.

“We are delighted that Bike the Coast will continue its tradition of hosting a wide variety of great foods for all the participants,” said Kim Heim from Main Street Oceanside (www.msoceanside.com). “Expect lots of great food and craft beer.”

Heim added that new selections this year include Kia Ora, a new local kitchen that creates authentic New Zealand meat pies and savory shepherd pies and Red Oven Pizza, featuring delicious handmade pizzas in the Naples style – light, crispy and incredibly rich in flavor.

Main Street Oceanside, producers of the weekly Farmers and Sunset Markets in Oceanside, will bring in a range of popular local food providers from their weekly market. Among the options available at Bike the Coast will be Jamaican BBQ, street tacos, seafood, hot sandwiches, thai cuisine, freshly baked cookies, locally-made ice cream and Italian ice.
