Skater Girl Falls, Gets Helicopter Ride

by The Editors on October 4, 2007

A 16-year-old girl (who was not wearing a helmet) fell from her skateboard at about 3 PM October 3 “near the intersection of Buena Vista Way and Highland Drive,” according to the North County Times.

The girl hit her head and according to a witness, suffered a seizure, Capt. Skip Clark said. . . She didn’t remember (what happened), she was kind of confused,” and suffered injuries, he said. The girl was taken by medical helicopter to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla for treatment, Clark said.

Be careful out there. . . concrete and asphalt are really hard.
