Pirates Slaughter Lancers 31 to 7

Before tonight the Lancers hadn’t lost since September 2005 and all of Carlsbadistan can all take cold comfort in knowing that last night’s game in Oceanside was never even close.

The Pirate offense marched up and down the field at will, while Carlsbad’s offense couldn’t score a point and rarely made it’s first downs. The Lancers’ only touchdown was scored by an intercepting in the first half. Ouch. But streaks of any kind tend to play with people’s heads, so it’s probably good that this one is over and the Lancers can get back to basics. . . playing the quality football that we all know they are capable of.
