If you’ve been cruising the Village lately and noticed that many of the shop windows have been painted up with colorful holiday scenes, you can thank Vista artist Alli Thoeni and The Carlsbad Village Business Association. According to a Barbara Henry story in the North County Times, Thoeni has already dressed up the front windows of 15 businesses.
It’s first stage of what the downtown merchant’s group is billing as its first full-scale, month-long holiday celebration. . . “We’re very excited,” said Robin Young, the association’s executive director. She said that she hoped some elements of the holiday schedule —- especially the extended shopping hours on Wednesdays —- become permanent.
