Man Robs Bank With Skateboard

by The Editors on February 8, 2008

On Thursday evening, February 7, 2008 a “white man about 25 years old and 180 pounds, with dark hair and a thin goatee” rolled his longboard skateboard into the Bank of America in the 7700 Block of El Camino Real and handed the teller a note and a bag.

The note advised the teller that the suspect had a gun, though no gun was seen, Blackburn said.. . . The teller complied with the suspect’s orders to put money in the bag; the suspect then took off north through the parking lot, the sergeant said.

Looks like bank robbery is still rocking in Carlsbadistan.

Are you kidding me? A skateboard? He got away with it too! What happened to exploding money or tracking devices. Couldn’t a security guard go quietly follow him and let the police know where he went? Is that all it takes, a note and an implied gun? I would have robbed a bank a long time ago if I knew it would be that easy.
