Union Bank of California Robbed On Foot

by The Editors on March 12, 2008

A man described by police as a bearded “light-skinned black man, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and 130 to 140 pounds. . . was wearing a dark blue baseball cap, a gray T-shirt over a light blue T-shirt and blue jeans,” when he robbed the Union Bank of California at 7140 Avenida Encinas at 6:07 p.m. last night (Tuesday March 12, 2008). He reportedly:

handed a teller a note demanding money, Lt. Matt Margo said. The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash, and he left on foot. Police checked the area but were unable to locate the robber.

This is the 11th Carlsbad bank robbery we have counted in the past 10 months.
