Hoehn Supports Ban On Gay Marriage

by The Editors on March 16, 2008

Robert Hoehn, the co-owner of Carlsbad’s Hoehn Motors, has reportedly donated $25,000 to help support an initiative that would “ban same-sex marriage” in the state of California, according to a story in the San Diego Union-Tribune. But he’s not alone in getting behind this issue. San Diego developer Doug Manchester, Mission Valley developer Terry Caster, and La Jolla businessman Roger Benson have also donated a total of more than $300,000.

Damn, buying your way into right-wing California power politics is getting expensive.

Thats horrible. I have wrote emails to all businesses these guys own and let them know i am boycotting them and incouraging my friends, family, and biz associates to do the same. This is just bad business.
Please do the same.
Doug Manchester owns the Manchester Marriot and the san diego hyatt.

I actually spoke with the GM of the Hyatt letting him know that I am a Diamond Member of Hyatt hotels (the highest you can be) and that I would not stay at any hotels in the future. I got 10 other of my employees to do the same. The GM called me today to let me know that Mr. Manchester was released this morning after being served notice that his donation was in conflict with the policies of Hyatt Hotels.

I have not gotten ANY response from Hoehn and I have e-mailed and called EVERY dealership he owns. I also e-mailed the car companies as well.

Finally, I did an e-mail with all my friends and co-workers to Mr. Hoehn to get him to hear from those I know that this is not acceptable. I encourage you to do the same. The e-mail address is vaschohan@hoehnmotors.com

We can make a difference!

Give Mr Hoehn a break! This is America and we are all entitled to our opinions, even if they are of some that others do not agree with.

The gay’s should not take this personally, he is exercising his Constitutional Right!

And if you don’t believe in gay marriage – don’t marry a gay.

This gay marriage thing is being blown way out. Do straight peole go on tv talk shows anf throw sex and their personal relationships all over the tv network? Make a big deal about their feelings for the opposite sex? What people do behind closed doors shouldstay there. Why is it that the gays have the need to flaunt thier sexual preference. If you are offended, it is because you brought this on yourselves. I have known gays that married in the 70’s but did not have the need to show it down the worlds throats.

get over it already!!!!!!
