CHS Surf Team Second in NSSA Champs

by The Editors on June 28, 2008

Leave it to a crew of “home-school” Hawai’ian kids from Elite Element to squeak by Carlsbad High School Surf Team in the finals of the NSSA National High School Surf Championships.

Elite Element — which is a home-school program — defeated Carlsbad (Calif.) High in the final. The finals were run in 3- to 4-foot waves at Lower Trestles.

Congrats, CHS. It’s a shame we can’t all live in Hawaii and go to school only when we don’t feel like surfing.
