Carlsbad Knocked Out Of US Open

by The Editors on July 27, 2008

It was pretty much game over for Carlsbad surfers in the round of 48 at the US Open of Surfing at Huntington Beach this week. Taylor Knox? Out in the round of 48. Julia De La Rosa Toro? Same thing.

And while we saw Kyla Langen destroying Cherry Street in the days before the US Open began, neither she nor Lauren Sweeney made it past the round of 48.

There is one last hope, according to the San Diego Union Tribune: Taylor Jensen is in the longboard championships and will be surfing at 2:35 PM today.
