Bolt Pr - Influencesd AwardsCarlsbadistan’s power PR agency Bolt Public Relations (Caroline Callaway, Jesse Garner, Anne Carr, and Dana Flower pictured right) brought home the Agency of the Year Award at the first annual #influenceSD awards show held Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Anthology in downtown San Diego. Bolt beat out 29 other San Diego agencies for the recognition.

Caroline Callaway, president of Bolt PR, explained, “One element in the new media space that intrigues us is one that has been a driving force in our agency’s PR services: the opportunity like never before to have a voice, spread a message, and communicate to thousands, if not millions, in real-time and on your own terms. Rather than relying on the tabloids to tell a story or doing damage control through a press conference, influentials can broadcast the message on their own terms through their Twitter feed, blog or Fan Page.”

We know Bolt is for real because they found us on Twitter and have been in constant contact ever since. And we’re not the easiest to get along with. Seriously. Congrats, you deserve it.Bolt PR Named San Diego Agency of the Year at 2010 #InfluenceSD Awards

SAN DIEGO – Bolt Public Relations, LLC. (http://www.boltpr.com), a San Diego-based boutique public relations, marketing communications and social media management agency, was named 2010 Agency of the Year at the inaugural #influenceSD Awards Show on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. The #influenceSD Awards honor San Diego’s “new media champions” who are leading the way in utilizing the blogosphere, Twitter, Facebook and other online tools to revolutionize the business landscape.

Bolt PR was one of about 30 nominees in the Agency of the Year category. After a month of open online voting, the nominees were narrowed down to five finalists, and then judged by a panel of prominent names in the San Diego technology and marketing industries. Over 300 people attended the #influenceSD awards, held at downtown hotspot Anthology. Winners were named in 12 categories for their use of new media, including Blog of the Year and Business of the Year. As a 2010 winner, Bolt PR will move on to compete for a national title in the Agency of the Year category in the coming months.

Bolt PR capitalizes on new media by integrating creative, viral concepts into clients’ PR campaigns. In addition to managing social media for businesses, Bolt’s team of savvy new media leaders contribute to the Bolt Buzz Blog (boltpr.com/blog), Twitter account, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and several other social networks and channels. An early adopter of using new media for businesses in San Diego, Bolt PR has been invited to speak at seminars, deliver lectures and contribute educational articles on the topic.
